Hey there fellas, I just got my 2007 530i and needed some advice. I want to clay, polish and wax her but I have a few concerns. There are small chippings on the front of the bumper due to regular highway driving. My question is, will it be wise to clay the bumper or will it damage the paint? Can I also polish and wax it without any issues? Should I repair the small chippings first before I clay it? If so, then how should I take car of the chipping?

I also would like to know how to smooth out the headlights beause there are miner chipping on there as well.

I plan on getting a clear bra after I wax it. Are there pros/cons about the clear bra? Should I purchase it from ebay?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Without seeing the paint damage, I'd still say you can safely clay your car. Just be careful when wiping the chipped area. Lubricate well.
I've polished and waxed chipped areas without any problems. For sure it's an advantage to take care of those chips if possible.

I'm not an expert on clear bras, but I think the paint must be all clean when installing the bra to get it properly adhered. No wax or sealants on the area.
Put wax afterwards.

And welcome!

Thanks for the insight! Does anyone have a recommendation for a polishing substance?

I plan on getting the Menzerna polish but I am unsure which one to get. Should I go with the Menzerna Power Gloss or Intensive polish? My paint job is still fairly good sense it is an 07'.

I'm gonna also go with the ClearKote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze and ClearKote Carnauba Moose Wax.

Is this a good combination?

Again, Thanks!
