Default Going to detail my car for the first time and have some product questions.

Hello everyone! I am planning to detail my car (2014 Black Camaro) for the first time ever and I’ve purchased almost everything except for the compound and the polish. There are so many brands and each brand seems to have its own steps to polishing a car with its product. I’m leaning towards purchasing Meguiars products, but I am not sure which product will be better. I want to do a compound and then a polish and seal the paint with a DIY ceramic coating. That being said, the products I’m conflicted on are the Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Polish line or the Meguiars Mirror Glaze line.

Which of these products would be better for what I am trying to accomplish? (I believe the Meguiars Ultimate polish might contain wax, which might make the ceramic coating not work as well)

Also when it comes to Meguiars Mirror Glaze line, should I go for the 205 and 105, or the 210 and 110?

Would you recommend another brand or product line?

I am very new to detailing so I apologize in advance if these questions are dumb or obvious, but I appreciate any help and guidance!

I only use Meguiar's. I just wash, and clay and then I'm good to go. But my car isn't so bad, and so polishing is not required.

I use the same brand also. I clay and wax once a year or so. But I do a 2 stage with 105 and 210. I then I finish off with some chemical guys spray. I keep it maintained throughout the year with chemical brothers and repeat after a year. All my cars stay beading through rain. I don't do ceramic coating but I think the chemical guys spray contain a ceramic substance.
