Yep. Wait until you try Menzerna polishes. Once you see how much more comes out from the Jet Black paint, you will be amazed. On my 2007 Jet Black 530, I couldn't believe what a difference Menzerna makes. Granted, you have to use 2 polishes of various cuts, but the difference is night and day. My Jet Black car looked better than it did when it was new. I'm not looking forward to doing the job on the X5 though... That's at least a 12 hour job. Ughh...

But hey, the end result is SO worth it and nothing beats the sense of accomplishment.
You know I'm ok with 6-7 hours of quality time with my car but 12 hrs? Damn the lady friend is going to start getting suspicious haha.

After I use up all my products, definitely going to take your advice on Menzerna or Pinnacle.

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

Don't forget to look around and read some reviews on other products. I agree with C that Menzerna is probably the best out, but it's also kinda pricey.

Products from other companies like Poorboy's World, Finish Kare, Chemical Guys and Optimum are really good products that will help you save some money.

Poorboy's SSR line is very cost effective and does wonders for swirls and scratches, plus they have an AWESOME glaze for black cars called Black Hole. The description is all in the name, good stuff

I was just looking at Menzerna's and I don't think i'm up there yet, but C's a baller so he always recommends the best haha.

My products should be gone within the month haha. I'm going to do my g/f's car next week, then my sis car haha. So just a heads up, that you'll be getting another PM titled "Product lists"

Haha I just agreed b/c it gives me more practice time to perfect this crazy art of auto detailing haha. If you get a chance, pick up a kit, I think you'll love it.

Thanks for the tip Unknown, I'll keep that in mind.

I use Chemical Guys as well. Love CG, Menzerna, JetSeal 109 and Swissvax. I used to be a die hard Zaino user, but after I tried Menzerna, it was all over. Personally, I don't think their polishes are that much. You need to buy the large, commercial size bottles. It's worth the money and lasts forever.

I don't know if anybody on here uses Autoglym, I personally love the brand but find it pricey on many websites, but I found a great site that has many 1L sizes for cheap. About the same prices as regular 500mL bottles, but its different naming. Autoglym does this to distinguish between consumer and professional lines.

Autoglym for CHEAP
