Make sure you read the instruction properly.
Clay can give you an excellent result when you follow the instruction properly.
But, it can mess up your clear coat pretty bad if you fail to do so.
Good Luck.

What's the difference between polishing and claying? Can you polish with claying and still remove the contaminants?
As HotLap says ... claying merely lifts embedded contaminats out of the clear coat. The result is a baby-butt-smooth surface.

Claying does nothing to remove swirls marks or enhance the shine of the surface - that's what polishing does.

The best approach is to clay, polish, wax, drive fast ... rinse, repeat.

i clayed my car 2 days ago with Meguires clay kit and the different is incredible . when you rubbed my paint before it sounded like sand paper and now my hand slips off the car.... its SILKY SMOOTH...

it really is like glass but be sure to dedicate a WHOLE day for the job. it took me 4 hours to clay my whole car then 30 minutes to wax it but it is perfect . i'd say a babys butt would be jeaous of my car's finish

After I washed my car, if you take the back side of your finger and run it along the top of your moniter thats how my roof and hood felt the lower parts of the doors are nice and smooth and feel like a waxed car should, but everything else does not feel good. I tried using a couple differnet typs of wax's but they all had the same result, the paint still felt the same. I was doing some research and it looks like I should find clay bar and use it? should that take care of the problem? any sugestions?
I would recommend Zaino products for all your wax and clay needs, it's an A+++ product highly recommended check it out.
