I have a 2010 Msport and considering de-badging. Looked in the forums..What is involved and how much work would it take to clean up the badge area that has had the badge for over 3 years. Alpine white color. Thanks

Pretty simple.
Get some tooth floss string thing and run it behind the letters, cutting through the double sided tape.
Then take some sticky stuff remover/tar remover, BMW do some of that in a can and clean the area, then wax it and that's it.

Without polishing the area the silhouette of the letters will probably be visible in some lighting conditions and viewing angles.

I de-badged my 09 AW E60 a few months ago with no issues. After using goo gone spray, not goof off, to remove the tape residue I used meguairs scratch x to remove all remnants of the tape. After waxing it was done and looking clean.
