Plan on cleaning the leather seats in my car this week, haven't ever cleaned leather before. Anyone have any suggestions on some leather cleaning products, also any tips on how to do it. Thanks!

Lexol has a cleaner and conditioner for normal use and also an extreme condition more for worn seats. This is a simple wipe on and in and then wipe off. It works well for cleaning and conditioning seats. If you have worn seat or stiff seats maybe you want try Leather Honey or Leatherique. Both of these products are very similar in application method. Basically, you paint this stuff on your seat and you can also cover it with a layer of seran wrap and leave over night or preferably out in the sun. After 8-12 hours you remove it with a clean cloth. Pretty easy but it looks awful when you put it on...! It seems to work better for conditioning the leather. It was hard to tell if it actually soften my leather, I'm thinking very little. I have not tired the Leatherique but after reviewing it, it seems to be very similar or the same as the leather honey.

Great advise - Lexol stuff works really well. I have been using it for years. I use the BMW conditioner (because I got the BMWCCA discount). Leather Masters also makes great leather conditioner and cleaners.

Hey Persian!

The leather will have all kinds of gunk embedded in the pores. Skin oils, sweat, etc. Keep the ideas of cleaning seperate from the conditioning.

Go check out these links. I use a brush similar to the one below and use it on the leather with a quality leather cleaner and wipe off with a micro-fiber cloth. After the cleaning and wipe-down, I apply conditionioner by hand just as if I was putting lotion on my arms/hands.

Most people will scrub their face harder than they will scrub their leather seats!

Ok I'm gonna try out the Lexol product and see how it works, any suggestion on which one to get? There is like 20 different Lexol products on that web page.

+1 on Lexol, had good experience with in on my wife's Lexus but recently I've been getting good result from Meg products also. Definitely look into getting the brush though. It looks night and day different after using the brush to get rid of all the dirt trapped in the pores.

Just buy the regular Lexol cleaner - and the conditioner. It is not too hard to clean.
