im contemplating whether i should clay my car before i wax my car...
my car is jet black..with 95% condition...just paint corrected about 5 months ago... but washing has always been careful... no swirls and very little minor scratches... thinking of skipping another round of polish..
the problem is that the bottom half of my car feels rough... and i heard claying will scratch the paint ( as u know jet black BMW is one of the most fragile paints)
to clay and cause a little scratch on the car then wax
or
forget the claying... just use pre-wax cleanser and wax the car
any tips is greatly appreciated.

I have Jet Black and have never scratched my car using clay...and I clay often. I use CG Clay with CG Luber. Works great!

Have you ever clayed a car before?
If you give your car a proper wash job and then clay your car with sufficient lubricant you should not create any scratches at all.
My car is Black Sapphire Metallic and claying does not scratch it.
The clay should take car of rough stuff.
Good Luck.
