I don't know the details but I do know that there are professional glass polishers who could more than likely buff out those scratches...
I will ask the detail shop if they have friends working as glass polishers.

i know a good clay could mostly get rid of fine line scratches. man that sucks... sorry to see that. in my garage numerous times especially if the cars are dusty ill find a cat's paw prints all over the hood.. not much scratches though, and if any, not as bad as that. good luck.
Clay will only remove contaminants bonded to the surface of the paint. It will not remove scratches.
