Thumbs up

Hi everybody!

I'm spending a week in a sports academy in another town right now, and I have to park my car under large pine trees. Lots of pine needles are falling on the car and I just wondered if they are doing any harm. It's supposed to rain through the whole week so I don't think that needles will have any chance to dry on paintwork. Ok, the issue might be minimal, but I'm very anal about the paintwork, and I have managed to keep it swirless pretty well so I think other enthusiasts like you will understand my concern .

I feel a little stupid asking this, since I live in backwoods, but I am just adjusted to put the car in garage when not driving it, and even when it's outside, there's no trees nearby (at home). So...

Let's discuss!

I wouldn't worry about pine needles. They tend to get lodged in the cracks and crevices of the engine bay up near the hood gap where the windshield is. I would worry about pine sap, which can be a pain to remove once it contacts the paint.

Yeah. The falling needles are dried ones so I don't think they would bring any sap with them.

edit: Oh, there are two coats of FK1000P + one layer of Dodo Juice Supernatural on car, and I hope I can trust their protection!

I believe it is.

It's funny that I'm asking this kind of thing while 70% of our country looks like this:

+2. I'd rather deal with almost anything besides sap or tar.
