Been using both P21S and P21S Gel during my regular weekly cleaning. It does "Not" do crap to the brake dust. I still have to scrub and I must say it really pisses me off. Just bought the $90 size of P21S Gel from Autogeek. I have tried letting it soak for up to 2 hrs as recommended by the P21 folks, might of well of been 1 min, no difference. Anyone have any magic solution? I have read that some California dust there wheels daily, that seems crazy to me. One week and 300 mi is not much but this dust is hell. My vette got the same weekly cleaning with P21S and it worked great. What's the deal here? I know the pads are soft but there must be some easy way to clean them....tools and magic solution. Come on how do I deal with this? BTW, I have applied Zaino to the rims, I assume the same reults from rejex if not better.

Michelin has a new product called Brake Dust Eliminator. Have not had a chance to try it yet; read about it in some of the car mags.

A lot of people swear by Rejex. I haven't tried it but you might search for that name.

I applied it to everything except the driver side wheels...just to compare. The driver side wheels had much more dust and the passenger side came off with a duster.
By the way, I'm new to the site...I?ve been on as a guest and you've helped me learn a lot about my 2005 E60.
Thanks

There seems to be no effortless solution to our brake dust problem. So I conceded, and bought a dedicated tire cleaning brush. It sure made tire cleaning a lot less painful.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
My wheels were bad, the only thing that removed the baked on brake dust was polishing compound. A coat of wax on the wheels has so far made them very easy to clean just using soap and water.

Listen up: if you do not want to scrub you need to use a citrus cleaner. (NOT ACID!)
Poorboys Spray & Rinse is awesome, no agitation required. Available at autogeek as well.

The best for heavily soiled wheels.
