My Ride: BMW 545iA Black Sapphire
Model Year: 2005
Engine: 545i
Picked up a couple of products from my dealer while I was booking the 545i for progman 25.
The first is BMW Wheel Cleaner Gel, according to the instructions spray on, wait 5min, rinse off with plenty of water.
I'm not displeased with the results, but honestly, my routine of washing the rims weekly just with plain water and a soft brush gives the same results. Mind you my new 172M's are a bugger to clean compared to my previous 123's.
This product is for someone who wants fast results with min fuss.
Spray on...
..rinse off with plenty of water...
The BMW Engine Varnish is a cool product !
1. Clean your engine with a small sponge, use warm water with a little dishwater detergent, I also used a toothbrush for bolts and hard to get areas. Take your time to get it nice and clean, later the engine varnish will create a film of high gloss protection when it dries. Wipe down entire engine with a clean soft cloth. The entire washing process took me a good 45 min.
2. If it's windy outside, the spray won't apply evenly, park the car in the garage (but maintain GOOD VENTILATION) or out of the elements.
3. Spray evenly all areas of the engine and engine compartment.
4. Allow to dry for an hour with bonnet open.
The results are just sexy ! My engine looks like new
Impressive product.

Andy, that looks good! - you put my engine bay to shame ( and I thought mine was clean! )
Ref the Progman update, could you keep us informed if the car runs better (slam, etc etc.) after the upgrade.
When is the update happening?

Look forward to it, thinking of an excuse to get the dealer to upgrade mine... making up a list of possible faults to rectify before the used car warranty finishes this summer

I'm sold on the Engine Varnish! Thanks for the tips and the pix Andy. I'll be getting that stuff this week from my dealer.
