Alfa Romeo 147 TS1.6 , Black with Air Con 17" Multi Spoke alloys with Bridgestone RE040 tyres

Toyota Celica 1.8 VVTI, Lagoon Blue, Air Con, 16" Standard alloys with Kuhmo KU31, EBC Green Stuff
Hi guys,
Just wanna share what i've done recently, the car has some serious scratches and require some wet sanding to bring it back to shine. I've spent 20hrs on polishing alone but still can't get it perfect, i would say the car is now 90% corrected but some scratches are so deep and can not removed even with wet sanding! Most parts require 2 or 3 passes with Menzerna 3.02 thanks to the hard BMW paint and then followed by 106FF.
Here are the product that i used and some pictures during and after.
Wash & Clay:
Superspray
Meguiars Hyper wash
CG Citus snow foam
ShMitt
Sonus clay (Green)
Serious performance quick detailer as lube
CG Orange degreaser
Wheels:
Bilberry acidic free wheel cleaner (A lot cheaper than P21s with same performance)
Swissvaz wheel brush
Extra long wheel brush
Bottle brush for arches
Long reach brush for door sills
CG orange degreaser
Poorboy wheel sealant x2 coats
Sanding:
Meg sanding backing pad
Unigrid 2000
Unigrid 3000
Polishing:
G220 (Thinking of rotary
Lake country CCS yellow
CCS Green
Menzerna S34A
Menz 3.02
Menz 106FF
SP QD
LSP:
Dodo juice Lime prime lite (Pre-wax cleaner)
Raceglaze 55 wax (Very impressed with this wax, i would rate it over Dodo supernatural)
Car was washed 2days ago but the dirty rain (sand mixed rain) last night make it filthy again
Extra long wheel brush in action
Swissvax wheel brush
CG degreaser on door sills & fuel cap
Car then foamed with Meg hyper wash + CG citus snow foam
Then clayed with sonus green (Pic shown clayed after bonnet)
Swirls & RDS everywhere
Road paint spitted on the side skirt, tar remover can't do the job so must be wet sand it
Wet sanded
Menz power gloss to remove the wet sanding marks followed by few passes of 3.02 and 106FF
Fenix P3D Cree LED torch (Great for spotting swirls )
Abrasive polish must be work until it's clear like pic shown below
Few polished pics before LSP
Car then washed again to remove the polsih dust
Lime prime lite and raceglaze 55 wax then applied
Let the wax cure for 10mins
And finally, some finished pictures
Any suggestion/comment welcomed
Cheers
Keith

looks GREAT!
it seems most peoples idea of detailing is a wash and wax. the mere fact that youve heard of many of the products you used - which arent exactly 'off the shelf' (not to mention your results) speak volumes about your dedication! have you thought about using a synthetic wax/sealant with a carnauba topper(for a little longer lasting protection)?
youre braver than i for wet sanding tho - always been a little scared to try that myself

Wet sanding is not as hard as you think, it might look scary in the picture, but once you using the right grid (2000 followed by 3000) with even pressure, then you should be fine

I used to put Zaino Z2 on my titanium silver e60 and my mate's black mini cooper, but i'm not 100% satisfy with the results, Z2 is Bling and glossy but seems lacking somthing (Dont get me wrong, it is one of the best looking sealants on the market), this is the reason why i'm going back to the carnauba routine. i've tried jetseal 109 topped with victoria wax on black car, personally don't think it will give a longer protection but i never got chance to test its longevity as i change wax every 3-4 months

i know what you mean about longevity - i never let anything go longer than 3ish months myself (and usually every other month if time allows). I just happen to think (and it may be due to my rather warm weather) most carnaubas start to loose most shine and protection after a month or so max.
as far as the wet sanding - im afraid im still going to be a bit of a chicken
