Some one forcefully opened their car door and dinged my passenger front door HARD. It dented the sheet metal, and the paint (at least the clearcoat) is chipped and marked with whatever paint was on their door.

Anyone found a solution for this besides a body shop?

Sounds like a body shop to me. This is exactly why I park my car away from others and walk extra distances. I am so paranoid about this issue that I will drive another one of my cars if I feel parking will be a problem. Call me anal if you will but my baby is not getting door dinged.

Find a good PDR company (Paintless Dent Removal) in your area, search the web or this board. At least have them take a look at it and see what they can do. This weekend I bumped the rear quarter panel of my e60 with a stool while waxing put a nice pea size ding in the panel, thankfully no paint damage though. Got it fixed for $75 by a dent removal company, good as new. If a PDR can't work with it your probably off to a body shop, call your dealer for recommendations.

I think that's a good idea. May not be as bad as I thought, and once the dent is removed, it might be a matter of buffing, then a bit of touch up paint. thanks.
