First wax-by hand ouch
Well after a few months I decided to give my car a waxing. Got the Macguires liquid wax super shine or something like that. Washed my car as usual and pulled into my garage and was about 100 degrees out and shady in the garage but not cooled so hot as hell but the car was still cool to touch so went ahead.
Well let me say that the best investment someone could possibly buy would be an automatic buffer. I pulled out my microfiber cloths and started buffing away and now I can tell you my arms feel like jello and I still could not get out every last imperfection like an auto buffer can-its a black car so what can ya do.
Anyway using my trusty 1.8mp cam phone here are some pics if anyone cares.

There is no substitute for a hand wax. The buffer on a dark car can if applied incorrectly make you cry after you see the permanent swirl marks.

I agree that waxing by hand is the way to go. I'm embarrassed to say how often I wax the BMW and the s2000 (cough...2 times/month...cough). I know it's overkill, but the cars just look so damn sexy afterwards.
I prefer paste wax. Remember....less is more.

I get a much more consistent wax if I apply via orbital buffer and then remove by hand. I use Rejex and unfortunately I get my fair share of swirls until the car is wetted down and dried (and you are supposed to wait a day to do that). But the protection is awesome (That's what she said).

Good job. Waxing by hand makes you appreciate the result even more.
I also use Meguiars, but the Tech Wax Paste. Works very well on monaco blue. Here are two pix of my weapon.

And actually as the sun was setting really gave it a good going over again with the microfiber and definetly got to the mirror look-Totally makes the car look wayyy better. But MAN black, and probably blue but black is just a PAIN to own. Like 10 minutes of driving after waxing and a layer of dust stuck on the car-living in the desert doesnt help but sheesh!By the way-LOVE that spoiler on your car-looks awesome!

And yes, dark colors require more elbow grease, but they just look so damn good when they are clean!

I also wax by hand, do your arm a favor, try P21S Carnauba, it spreads on like warm butter and wipes off very easily with a micro fiber cloth, I don't have to apply any pressure to get it off, really a pleasure to work with. It will leave you with an awesome shine, the only down side...I seem to get protection for only about 2 months. Solution, put on Klasse AIO first, then throw on the P21S! It takes a little longer, but it's worth. Also, Klasse makes all your black plastic and metal trim look great!
