Here's my stories about using a DA polisher and AutoGlym as last step products!

ohh! I'm looking forward to the spring again!

I'm also a Autoglym person, and like the shine and the easiness of applying the polish and vax.

Winter in Denmark, 1000 km's / week in January:

The spring is almost here, two weeks ago:

Last summer, during the two day Autoglym process:

Summer and a shiny car - I love it!:

I truly believe you ought too. just get the small packs if you are worried they aren't any good. Follow the instructions on how to apply the polish and gloss properly. I am confident you won't regret it.

In my garage I have 3 unopened packs of SRP and 2 of the gloss. I just know it will always be used and the shine afterwards always keeps me turning back to catch just another glimpse as I walk away from the car.

cheers

You also seem to use Meguire products. How does the swirl remover work like? Any good?

Wow..!! you have your work cut out mate.

Looking at the replies here, I am glad many of you still use autoglym. These days the list of products for detailing can be numerous with various brands being used. frankly for me, cost matters. IMHO for cost vs shine look, I am truly happy with autoglym.

I polish my car twice a year. Once coming out of winter and another before going into winter. The paint work lasts for years. Never ever had to respray due to bad / worn paint. People used to comment that a car 10 years old still looked like new and I always put it down to the product used.

keep it going guys. And I look forward to seeing your pickies this summer after you have polished those cars.

cheers all

Actually I don't use Meguiar's. They're Presta products. They just happen to have a "Swirl Remover" too. It is very light polisher and works great, as the whole family of Presta products does!

Best polishes are Menzerna IMO, but they're expensive and don't work too well in humid climates.

Yes I missed that. I sorta read the swirl remover and assumed it to be megs. I went back to read your article and MB43's (which was really long) and thats when I spotted my mistake. Still, the way you got rid of the marks with the presta shows its a good product too.

Cheers

Thanks. Maybe one day I will try it out. I heard of it some time before but never really looked into it in detail.

cheers

Zaino huh. To be honest, never heard of it but since you mentioned it I will check it up on the net. See if I ought to give it a try. Thanks.
