My Ride: E60 530d M-Sport
I fitted a new maf to my 1991 E34 525i Sport and no reset, I fitted a new maf to my 2001 E46 320d and the car would hardly drive, GSF said the part numbers were correct and its a genuine Bosch part, never did get it to work, some people say you do, some people say you dont, depends who you ask, I gave up in the end.
In days of old at least the easiest way to tell if your maf was screwed was to unplug it, it would force the ECU into going into safe defaults, if your drive improved your maf was shot, if not then it was likely your maf was ok.
