I'm so pissed off and embarrassed at the same time, I didn't take any pics. I thought I used enough lube. Maybe I'm not handling the clay well enough or just heavy handed.
If you're doubting if you used enough lube, you probably did not. Clay streaking is usually the result of not enough lube. The clay should glide across the surface picking up the contaminants with minimal pressure. If you apply too much pressure, it can leave fine scratches, but nothing that a lil wax/sealant can't fill up.

Post some pics of the damage. I'm sure some of us may have some suggestions to help your blemishes.

You didn't use enough lube/spray. The area, the clay and your hand should be soaked in spray. You should be spraying quite often too. Try another small section and spray continuously, as you wipe back and forth. And make sure to remold the clay every section, just so you have a nice, clean face of the clay for your new sections.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Perhaps you're right. I'm timid about attempting it again, perhaps if we get another warm day. Maybe I'll need to apply more Z7 to the mix. It didn't come out too bad. Some friends of mine looked at it and didn't think it was that bad. I guess since I know what it looks like close up, and I'm also anal about the paint. Thanks again, I'll see about posting pics of its current condition.

Z7????? You mean Z6, right? Or are you mixing Z7 in a spary bottle with water? I would use detail spray over soap and water.

C, you made me feel like I was neglecting my ride with this post, so I clayed and Rejex'd it today...baby-ass smooth now. Next weekend I'll change out the wheels/tires to my weak-ass OEM 17's. Back to looking ordinary till April!

Oh, and your car will be white soon. Gotta hate the winter salt!

Ha! Hey D - Happy Birthday bud. Hope you had a good day. You should treat yourself to something nice...like the Sprint Booster. You deserve it.

Thanks for the b-day wishes! My day kind of sucked though...long story.

I will definitely treat myself to something soon. I am leaning towards the exhaust and SB in the spring....maybe.

Z7 is the car wash. Z6 is the spray. You want to use spray.
