New 535 loaner from Autohaus BMW n St. Louis area. Fast car. Great dealership. No game playing; fair pricing; straight forward service writers and mechanics. Denny was service writer; great man.
I definitely will go back.

That's the right way to go about it. I always got a BMW from my local dealer too. My Porsche on the other hand dealer only gives out rentals - kind of tough to drive up in my 997 and drive home in a (usually fairly mediocre) rental. It always strikes me as a missed opportunity. If I were a car dealer, I'd only want my customers driving the cars I sell - and I wonder how many sales opportunities are missed. What better way to let customers try other models such as a Cayenne, Cayman or Boxster? The loaner policy is definitely one thing my BMW dealer did better than my Porsche dealer.
The dealer for my current 550i, Circle BMW, gives out BMW loaners. I've gotten a 528xi (hated it) and a 335xi (loved it).
