I haven't found an honest SA yet. They all try to shaft me with a smile on their face.
I rather spend my $$ at an independent mechanic.

I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

Most of them are good, honest people. Unfortunately, they don't set the rate but the owners do.

My SAs actually go out of their way to save me money. They are very honest and dependable guys I trust. It's a shame you've had such negative experiences. Maybe I just got lucky, but it's all I've known the past 6-7 years.

I've had the same experience as you since dealing with FMW (now BMW-Sudbury) since 1997. Great SA and great dealership.

If you grease your SA, you would be amazed at some of the things they do. Next time, when you're not sure if they'll work on your car, throw them a $50 or $100 and see what happens. Trust me...and another member on this board.
