I dropped my car off at Pacific BMW today and my SA told me about an insurance program they have for wheels and tires. Road hazard coverage:
$750 for 3 years
$800 for 5 years
Sounds like a good deal to me seeing how my last set of rear tires just cost me about 700 to replace. It will practically pay for itself. Are there any other insurance programs out there that offer more competitive pricing?

i think this insurance is for OEM wheels/tires and does not cover aftermarket. !
but does it cover OEM wheels installed after purchase (say 166's, 167's, 172's, or 128's )

Aftermarket wheels included. My SA started off asking me, how long have you had those wheels? I was like a year and a half. And he then proceeded to ask me if I was interested in the insurance program. So I'm pretty sure it covers aftermarket. I will double check again when I pick up the car tomorrow.
So is this the cheapest plan around?

Interesting ... I was offered wheel insurance as well when I purchased the car, but declined when I heard their response on aftermarket wheels. Ryan, I wonder if this is something that's only available from that particular dealership or is it throughout BMW North America?
