White is for old people here in South Florida.
it's good for rick ross

GL with your purchase decision, from what I have heard dealers are pricing '09's aggressively to make room for the incoming '10's...

I agree especially after what BMW did to dealers at the end of February with the 2008 5 Series. In particular, at that time, BMWFS stopped subsidizing the leases of leftover 2008 5 Series (and dealers still had some leftover inventory of them at that point). As a result, money factors on those leftovers shot up to the max MF rate BMWFS charges when it decides not to subsidize a lease. That made leftover 2008 E60's basically unleasable as of March 1, 2009 as monthly payments on 2008s were hugely more expensive than on 2009s.

Note that after BMWFS pulled lease subsidies on the 2008 E60's, BMW gave dealers a truckload of trunk money making them an awesome purchase in March of 2009. But many many BMWs are leased.

At some point with 2010 E60s arriving, BMWFS will pull the plug on lease subsidies very soon on the 2009 E60s. That prospect has to petrify the dealers.

Given that, I bet you can "reason with" the dealer on the 2009 and get the price very very close to invoice.

Go get 'em and get that awesome 550.

I understand that the new lease deals are good until May 31, 2009, but this is good mental horror to propose for the dealer carrying the 2009.
The sucking economy should not hurt either.

I still have not made a decision.

The dealer that has the 2009 550i offered $1000 above invoice plus $500 dealer fee. The transport will cost $300.

The local dealers are making their offers right now on the 2010 models, but they are not being too aggessive in trying to get the deal.

I am ready to sign right now, and I guess I really can't go wrong with any choice.

The 2009 is too high. I ended up at about $750 over dealer cost. Then we substracted the $2,500 rebate. Your delaer can do better.

If you are buying, a lightly used M5 would be awesome but if you lease, that's gotta be out of the question in terms of monthly payments as the leases on the new BMW are now heavily subsidized.
