My Ride: Nov 07 530i M Sport - Sports Auto - Carbon Black - black dakota - 172's - Media - Visibility - Heated front seats - Auto dim / fold mirrors
Booked oil service. Expect it to be a while you wait job, planned to sit in reception lounge making the most of the free biscuits and wifi
Service dept ring up today to reschedule as the car shows on their system as needing some warranty work and they need the car for a full day
- injectors to replace
- idrive to update
- engine management software to replace

My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.
New cars do need recalls sometimes. They are not effecting safety which is why you didnt get a letter, this is what some cars miss out on when the owners go straight to the cheaper route of serving through an indy from the start.

apparently there has been a lot of trouble with injectors...
this car had to have one replaced with only about 4k on the clock - done at the side of the road by Assist

Is that specific to 06? I have never read a thing on injectors on the net between all the 3 series and 5 series sites with these same engines and not one word.
The lifters on the other hand and the cylinder head is where the issue is as my post refers to on this page.
