Warranty expires in 2 weeks and have a big problem.

Hello, I recently took my 07, 530i for a problem with the engine. It makes weird ticking noises, which I read about it here that might be a lifter problem. The thing is that those types of problems shouldn't happen on my 530i, from what I read it only happened on the 545i. They replaced the lifters, and after a week the noise still happens. This happens on cold starts and when the engine is in idle. My warranty expires on the 27th and have made an appointment to have it checked out again. My question is, after you bring up a problem to bmw, and my warranty expires and it still not fixed, does it cover the problem?
Here's a clip of the engine ticking noise.

Yes. Thats the quick answer. What you have is a pre existing condition. The dealer will fix it even if its out of warranty. In fact, you can take it back as many 3-4 times and if its not resolved, than you can classify it a lemon issue. I dont think it will got that far, however. Im sure you will get this straigtened out. Good luck with the '07 530

In the UK, you can extend your warranty as many times as you like aslong as the car is "standard" and the car has a FBMWSH. I recently extended mine on my M5, and it cost £1280.00 for the year and it's a full warranty, no excess and all the normal stuff... BMW Roadside assistance, Emergency Service etc etc... Always worth doing in my opinion no matter what car you drive!

The lifter issue on the N52 is a "known" issue and there are several fixes for it. It does not happen as frequently as say the HPFP issue on the N54 but, most decent service Depts know about it and the steps to diagnose it and fix it.

If he already had the Lifters fixed the next step is new heads which his parts should have a 2yr warranty on them since he had the dealer do the work. Take it back. The ticking nose is much more pronounced when it is cold than warm.
BMW used to go ahead and just send out full completed new heads instead of just changing out the lifters. Most that had the Heads replaced have had no issues so far ( E90post.com). Some are even reporting much improved performance.
