My Ride: no work done yet, just go the car a week ago but looking to do some work soon
![Thumbs up](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif)
Im wondering if there anything i should do or can do since my warranty is about to expire in 5 months. I just had the camshaft sensor changed today by the dealer, since i had some kinda knocking sound coming from the rear of my car everythime i would stop and go, also this would happen when i would down shift from 3rd to 2nd.... Also told me they had problems with my software... The dealer had the car for a week and told me that the camshaft sensor was causing the problem but it hard for me to believe that would cause the hitting noise (Sounded like maybe my breaks would lock and realse late that type of noise) So im wondering if there anything i should be worried about before the warranty expires.... However deff wond be going to the same dealer just had such a hard time dealing with them and eveything was a big problem

2. Do your homework and look for a good extended warranty, if one exists.
3. Buy a bicycle.

Since this is on record, you will have recourse even after the warranty expires if what they did did not take care of the problem. If the problem has not gone away, you should be polite and persistent until they fix it.

Get done as much as possible.. I know some people who go to Germany to get everything replaced from engine and suspension parts to interior like new seats etc. ... so their cars after 160.000 Km / 2yrs look like new.
ask nicely?
If there is a way, I would love my driver seat replaced because after only 40k miles the side pad is getting worn and I even try to lift myself out every time I exit the car.

Had fun when I threw a fit about the plastic trim pieces peeling and telling them that my 2003 Ford Ranger truck has no plastic peeling. I have learned if you are nice they try to accomodate you.
