I'm planning on buying or leasing the new 04 e60 530/545 at the end of my current lease Feb 04. I'm looking for a little input regarding a couple of things; hopefully someone is outhere with the knowledge which I seek vs. out on the road with their new 04 5er...

2 subjects:

1.) Does anyone have a lot of experience with driving their current e39 Sports PKG in the ice/snow? Does DSC help while in the ice/snow? Will the 04 e60 with the enhanced 8.0 DTC(DSC) have anymore advantage in ice/snow vs. the e39?

2.) Can we order, in the US, a new e60 with a choice of rims such as, if we order a 530i sports pkg w/requested 124 wheels vs. what the sales brochure states as standard 123 sports pkg?

Anxiously awaiting the term of my current lease...may even buy special chains for the snow!!!

The wheels I am most interested in too, do you have any pics of the complete car with those wheels?[/quote]
Thomas, no pics of 116 wheels on the complete car yet, I will try and take some at the weekend. I can say they look great on the car I have seen all the other wheels in the metal and if like me you do not want to pay so much for the 18" 123 or 124 wheels the style 116 are the best choice. My dealer also agrees they are the best they have seen so far. I had to wait for week 36 production for these which meant a rush to get the car on the road for the UK launch.
