This BMW will head to Austin, TX - I would imagine through SC just wanted to confirm if anyone knew.? Here's the order:

2006 BMW 550i - Alpine White, Automatic
Anthracite Maple Wood
Comfort & Ventilated Seats/Black Nasca Leather - it was easy to add Priority 1 option kfarouki, but I had to maneuver the dealer to this forum so that he could believe me at first, and in addition, he just couldn't order the cold weather package for me, despite I've heard to the contrary.
Active Steering
Comfort Access
Head Up Display
Navigation
Sirius
Active Cruise Control
Rear Sun Shades
Sports Package
Premium Sound
iPod Aux. Jack - if anyone can comment on this dealer installed option - I'd love to hear the cons to getting this.

And as far as Alpine White JDN - I'm of the opinion that you can't get a better white than on a BMW.? It's beautifully sexy.

How could you get them?-Anthracite maple wood trim and comfort seats..
My dealer said I can't get both of them..Is it correct??
I ordered 550i with Full options including priority 1 option..
Let me know that please.
My car is black saphire.

markt540i - I had to order Comfort Seats and Ventilation. The Ventilation is on a "priority 1" list, which I learned is a sort of customized list that is offered only when you ask about it. If it weren't for this board, I would have never found out about it.

Hwnasu Cho - after submitting my order request to the dealer, he confirmed each item and found that only the Cold Weather Package was a problem with Ventilated Seats. I assume the heated seats in the Cold Weather Package can't be ordered twice over in the Ventilation Package. He never told me I had an anthracite wood problem. I'll let you know if there was a problem with the build when I see the car! ETA end of month.

Thanks everyone - I can't express the knowledge I've gained here on my first BMW purchase.

Thanks durbina79.
I am also wating for my 550i.
I got all the options.
But I couldn't order the anthracite maple wood....
My car is black saphire and black nascar leather,so if I had anthracite maple wood...it would be nicer...but no opportunity...but I wonder...when I ordered 530i, it can be ordered together...but my dealer say on 550i no opportunity....anyway I canceled the order of 530i and reordered 550i. I can't wait!!! I don't understand the restriction of the color of wood trim,

Thanks durbina. I will ask my rep. How much more did the ventilated option add to the comfort seat option.

Comfort Seats: $1200
Ventilation: $1620
TOTAL: $2820

But for me, my real cost for adding both of these as an option was $2070, due to deleting the Cold Weather Package (which is $750) - my dealer could not work around providing both the Cold Weather Package and Ventilation.

Not to be pushy - but if you are considering go for it! I've had a chance to experience the ventilation in my father's 7 series for over a year now - it is absolutely amazing and one of the better ventilation systems on the market today.

Sorry - let me revise those figures...

I paid the following:

$1020 for Ventilation
$1800 for Nasca Leather
$1200 for Comfort Seats

so my total cost on this option is $4020. Less 750 = 3270.

I am confused and possibly ill informed. Nasca leather is not standard on the 550 comfort seats?

My understanding is that:
(1) you can't order ventilation without Nasca, and
(2) you can't order Nasca as a regular option, you must order it as a Priority 1 option.

The 550i comes with Dakota Leather. Does anyone know the difference between these two leathers?

BMW NA makes this confusing by showing these two options separately, while they are a package deal:

(1) you can't order ventilation without Nasca, and
(2) you can't order Nasca without vetilation

I don't know about the quality differences between Dakota and Nasca. Sorry.
