Here's my situation, I bought dealer demo 528i from a dealer out of town and had the car shipped on a truck to me. Even though the salesman sent me dozens of pictures and went over the car with what seemed to be a fine toothed comb, somehow a 6" long scrape on the bottom of the front bumper made it to me without my knowledge. The trucking company noted the defect when they picked up the car so they are off the hook. The dealer is offering $200 which is less than the first estimate. The first estimate has the front bumper removed, and painted and reinstalled. I really think that a spot repair in place might be OK since the scrape is low and the color (Jet Black) shouldn't be hard to match.

So my question is, what would you do, and does anyone know of a good spot paint repair shop. I know some dealers even have mobile repair guys come out once a week to repair these types of items. I live in Houston, TX for those with suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I recently have a really good experience with Sunrise Collision shop. They match the color (black) well and I really like the outcome. PM if you need more details.
