I noticed a small hole in the drivers seat....looks like a cigarette burn.....i have no idea how it got there. Could it have something to do with the seat heater? is the seat covered under warranty? thanks

I had a similar situation when I bought my car. It is the seat heater cause and my dealer fixed the hole before I bought it. I checked with them if any program updates fixed the burn problem, but they did not confirm.....this problem has been on the recall list. If your car is still under warranty, I would ask the dealer to replace it. I have a document that states the recall - if you need it, please let me know.

I recall reading a few posts about seat heaters malfunctioning, might want to run a search on it, hopefully Rudy will chime in here, because it was him that answered the other post I read (of course it was him tho )...

Do you think they will replace the whole seat or just repair it? Thanks for the info.

I just went through past service invoices and found one from 2 years ago that states something about the heates seats being defective. According to my invoice it was taken care of. I just noticed the hole in the seat now.....it's not that obvious.....actually the seat belt kind of hides it....I hope they don't give me a hard time about fixing the hole because I waited so long....My car is still under warranty.
