My Ride: Fully Loaded Monaco Blue 550i Sport
I need to get my 550i serviced... god damn squeeky brakes and bad alignment.
Does any dealer in the NY/NJ area offer loaners even if you didn't purchase the car from them?

Amazingly, BMW NA lets the dealer decide their own loaner policy. Some are better than others in who gets a loaner and what kind of car it is. My dealer, Competition BMW in Smithtown, NY offers loaners to those who buy from them, but then its a Toyota!
I keep telling my SA, if I wanted to drive a Toyota, I would have bought one. In my opinion this is a lost opportunity to showcase their new models and keep the current BMW owner faithful to the brand and interested in trading for something new.

I must of called like 5 dealerships in the NY area and they only offer loaners to their customers... i guess i have to drive out like 2 hours just to get a loaner while my car is getting serviced.

My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.
My dealer BMW of Oyster Bay offers loaners to customers. A couple of times when I needed a loaner I got a Hyundai. Not exactly what I was hoping to get, but none the less at least I had a car to drive while they performed service on mine.

Alignment is not covered under the maintenance of the car, especially if you threw new wheels on there. That will send them a message that you've tweaked the car and now they have a reason to charge you money. Dealerships charge around $150. I would take it elsewhere, if that's what you need, especially since you're going to a dealer that you didn't buy the car from.

You should have purchased your car from Rallye Motors then, because last week I got a 335i as a loaner. It made me want one!

Yeah i should of... didn't know rallye is that big.
The thing is i needed a car really bad because i sold my daily driver E39 540i... i ordered a 335i from life quality and they were taking to long to get me the car while i was renting a car so i took my deposit back and started looking for either a 335i or a 550i elsewhere that was in stock with all the options i wanted which is basically FULLY LOADED and after searching for days, calling and visiting different dealerships i finally found a fully loaded 550i in stock ready to go.... i came into Denville Open road bmw and took the car same day for an awesome price.
I guess i will have to drive out an hour or 2 just to get a loaner.... whatever.
As far as the alignment goes i will have to call my sales person because i informed him about the alignment issue i had when i first got the car from them but never got time to go to the dealer.... no way am i paying $199 for an alignment.

From my own experience JMK BMW is by far the best dealership in the tri-state area.. and for your question yes they offer loaners, both enterprise or you can request a BMW loaner. Now I'm not sure if you had to have purchased yours ther to recieve the loaner however I would think thats the reason for the enterprise loaners..
My family has been buying their BMW's for over 20 years with them and still to this day have not left that dealership feeling unsatisfied..
