That's how it usually works. Your car will place a service request automatically (30 days ahead of the schedule -- for example if the car says you need a safety inspection by 11/30, then it will place a service call 30 days earlier).
Once the car does that, the dealer will call you for an appointment.
I think you can look at the history of service calls in the settings menu -- it's been a while since I looked there but give it a try and I'll bet you'll see the date your car called in the request...

Wow its good to know our car can do that. But since my service inidicator is screwed up in the first place guess I won't be getting any calls soon and have to go there and show them the TSB
