Reliability of 550
#1
Hello everyone I am New to this forum need some help
I am looking into getting a 2007 550i, but I will like to hear from owners about the reliability of the car since consumers report give it a below average? what is your opinion and what problems you are having with the car?
Thanks for your feedback

But since your car is an 07 it still has warranty I believe. I wouldn't worry about it. If it's covered it's all good.
These cars are worth it.
Didn't mean to scare you off...after a few weeks of ownership you will know you made the right decision.

welcome to the forum
You can't go wrong with a 550 - Does it have sport and premium?? if you're buying from a dealership make sure it's CPO until 100K. It can be a hit or miss with these cars, however there are some common problems that you learn to live with; eg: making a full smooth stop, pitting on the windshield, Mp3 retrofit...but once you drive it you will either love it or not. 550s' are very nice sport sedans - an excellent combination of a powerfull V8, comfort, handling, sport driving and looks.
post pics if u end up getting it.

i hope the price will reflect the 2 problems - however, i would have the seller fix the i-drive problem before buy it. IMO. Also have the dealership run the VIN # and i think you might still be able to get the extended warranty if the previous owner didn't buy it - someone can correct me on that.
I bought it new, 42K miles is all mine

Thanks for the info... I am looking into a 550 black on black with sport and premium pack, comfort access and few other options... looks like a nice car with about 35k miles on it,,,
the question is it worth it to get it "Certified"? Is it a good warranty?
