Hello All,

I was serious about purchasing an 05 545 but since it was almost the end of the year would it make sense to wait till the first or second week of january 08 to purchase? This would possibly give me a better deal since statistically this car would be 3 years old?

Where are you located? I don't think it will make a difference. The 2008 models are already out in the U.S. so a 2005 model is already 3 years old from that perspective. Are you considering buying a CPO model from a dealer or from elsewhere? Do you already have one in mind?
By the way, I have had my 545i for nine months and it is a great car. I bought is as a CPO (certified pre owned) from a BMW dealer.

I agree with Brian, if the new e60s come out in April then technically your proposed car would be a year older then. I would wait till closure to the end of the month / year on the basis that your dealer would be hungrier( = better deal ) to get another sale on the board befor month / year end . Good Luck

I am located on the west coast southern california. I have access to manheim auction listing and such but that does make sense with the new 08 models are already out it makes it 3 years old already. I was looking at a CPO.
