car is 1yr old has 5 yr full warranty, no issues (besides SW gimmicks), knock on wood no probs at all!
Really nice and interesting poll and topic, it's gonna help a lot of us!!

Attila, 5 years warranty in Europe??
I wonder if the chip tunning voids your warranty

Mine is 57K km. and three years old (2 years BMW warranty +1 by the dealer)... half of them (km and age also) owned by me, three times been at the dealed for fixes under warranty. (I don't know how many times X owner went at the dealer for fixes, but car's service book is clear, except 1st oil changing at 19K km. Next two times oil changing was up to me (38K km. and 57K km.) what means, one oil service per year.

1. One damaged ignition coil replaced (18 months of age and 28K km.)
2. MASK (nav bussines) unit replaced because of the erroneous mp3 playback ....squikeeng sound noice on the left audio channel (24 months of age and 37K km.)
3. Passenger's side adaptive headlights unit (whole light unit) replaced, because of the left-right move stuck/fault (30 months of age and 46K km.)

My car has been in three times. Each trip was for multiple issues.

1. Faulty DME, blower fan continuing to run after shut off
2. Window anti-trap function warning message
3. CD player continuing after shut off, loud pop in moon roof when closing from tilt position, window anti-trap message again, loud squeak in driver's seat, blower fan running after shut off.

I still love the car and cannot wait to get it back tomorrow.

Cannot fix CD player until March 07.
Blower could be resistor pack or motor or software
Window could be software, settings or motor
Roof is alignment

Twice. First was a software update or recall, second was for the runflat's uneven wear and noise . Next will be for the flimsy cup holder  .

Steering rack replaced ....(I'm going to county court over the cost of scrubbed tyres due misalignment from new, BMW uk v unhelpful)
Various front suspension parts
Heated seats recall
A subsequent visit to replace a burnt hole in the drivers seat ( strangely burnt through a week AFTER the recall work! )
Windscreen whistle cure
Heater fan upgrade ( auto )
Cupholders
Window anti trap functions
Inop wipers
Rain sensor de laminated from windscreen - required a new windscreen

Various other woes ....

Oh , forgot to mention two flat battery events requiring BMW call out service. ( undetermined cause)
