Take a look at a previous discussion about the wiper blades on the E60:

Question:

The wipers on my brand new 535 stutter pretty badly, even when there's plenty of water on my windshield. Was wondering if anyone else had that same issue.

Will take it to the dealer, but hope to avoid a half day wasted for something so seemingly simple. Thanks.

Had the same problem and BMW switched them out without me even saying a thing about it. Your I drive will tell them when they hook up the computer to it.

It's better to complain about them -- especially if the car is under warranty. A few years ago, dealers would routinely replace the wiper blades under warranty and claim they were streaking, etc. Most of the time they would do that without the customer complaining about them. The end result was that the customer felt "taken care of" and was happy to get free wipers without asking and, in addition, the dealer would be able to submit everything for warranty reimbursement from BMW.

Recently, a "little bird" told me that BMW is cracking down on these types of things. I was told that unless a customer complains about wiper streaking, etc., the dealer can't submit a claim to BMW for warranty reimbursement.

The bottom line is -- if the car is under warranty in the USA, complain about the wipers and you should get new ones at no charge. If the car is not under warranty, you may want to shop around and see where you can get the best price (either the OEM part from a BMW parts department or from a Bosch reseller (see my link above...)

are the pre-lci wipers the same as the LCI wipers. do they look alike.do they has the same serial number?

coz my right blade is creaking on my window due to the rubber being dry(never used it) and my car is no longer under warrantee. but my dads 530i still is, so if it the same, im planing to swap the blades and change it under warrantee.

Any comments on that. coz here its 42$/blade

I'm going to guess and say that the blades are the same between the pre-LCI and LCI cars. (Keep in mind I'm guessing and have no proof...)
