More stats... After close to 9 months... only a minor problem with SMG while in automatic mode which was fixed with a software update. Yes I'm one of the rare ones who use both auto mode and manual mode. *shrugs* I like to make sure both modes work still?
Also, sure the M5 SMG is better but so is it's engine, etc.? The SMG in the current E60 is still fantastic and worth every penny...
Hey EBMCS03,
You're not the only one running in Auto mode. Maybe it's my ADD but I find that I am using an odd combimation of both. As a note: Auto mode makes No Sense unless the Sport button is activated. But just like SMG in general, there is a learning curve. It's nice to have a Manual tranny AND an auto box in the same car.
Just my $0.02.

My Ride: 2006 550i SMG
Sorry for not replying sooner...We delivered our baby boy yesterday! 7 .lbs 13 oz.
For any expecting forum readers out there I guess you can ad buying a BMW to the list of labor inducers!
I am attaching my order confirmation sheet.
When the salesmen started entering the options I wanted from the previous attachment, the anthracite headliner option (#775) popped up on his system. It was a NC item so I took it. My 330i also has it as part of the performance package, it looks pretty cool, it basically changes the interior pillars and headliner color to black. I wonder what other hidden options may be available.
Does anyone know what "Diplomatic USA Port of Entry" is? It's $2870 cheaper that USA Port of Entry.

That's great you got to add the black headliner.
My car currently shows as scheduled for production, so I'm guessing its too late to add it.

No big deal either way.......I think the gray headliner looks fine against Alpine. Not to mention it brightens things up a bit, being that the interior will be black.
