Thanks everyone for the welcome. I must say that this board is much more inviting and friendly than the audiworld forum. Lot's of kids and a-holes over there. I like this forum because it seems people respect those that like fine cars, no matter what the make....of course BMW is the # 1 choice!
I'm not quite sure what to do about the S4. I'm very interested in seeing the new E90 M3. I've heard it could have 2 and/or 4 doors. We shall see. I'll keep the S4 for now but I really enjoyed driving the 545i. It has every thing I'm looking for in a car. Performance and luxury. Now, I only hope I don't have any of the "gremlins" (squeaks, software problems, etc) that I've read about on this board. Knock on wood!

I'm willing to bet that your description of how you did not like the looks of the e60 and went the route of MB will be a constant theme we hear here over the next year.? I know of so many people, including myself, that just flat out disliked everything about the new design.? However, as we all know, the design comes to like and becomes very seductive over time.

Thanks...
You know, it took a while and for me it all came down to what wheels were on the car. I like the bigger 18" inch wheels that come with the 545i. In my eye, it really makes the car look more muscular??
Now, I love the E60 and I know a number of my friends, who used to hate the Bangle design, that are also seriously considering buying one. I guess for some of us, it just took longer to come around??? I believe Bangle even said in a previous interview that in a few years time, more people would "catch on" to his new designs. I guess he was right...at least its true in my case...
Thanks for the welcome....now I just have to wait two weeks!!!

For me, the great lease rates, the two free tickets to europe and getting the car at euro invoice got me to like the Bangled design.

[/quote]I agree wtih both of you. The ED deal was great!
For me the Bangle design was never a real issue on the e60 - but I still am not a fan of the 7 series. It just lookes bangled-up too much. Don't know what they were thinking.
