Thumbs up

What are some thoughts on if it is better to order through the Dealer you plan on using for service, or try and get the best deal around? Just curious if Dealers treat you "differently" if you don't get the car from them.

I am looking to order an '05 545i for Performance Center Delivery in November, and going through the research phase.

Thanks

If you get some accessories installed from the "service" dealer, they would be your new friend...

I've ALWAYS switched dealers for service . If I go in there with just warranty stuff, you may not always get treated well.

On the other hand, if you don't haggle to much with the selling dealer you can always put it over their head on service issues. I did this on my E46 M3 and got service issues addressed WELL BEFORE others...

You pay for what you get...

Contrast this to my E46 330 in Europe. My selling dealer had no relation to my local factory OWNED service center. In Europe BMW's service team is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the US. (loaners, while you wait appts, service advisors who are VERY technical, direct contact to BMW Munich for escalation issues etc, etc)
