Went to my dealer for regular service. Spend time with my service advisor visiting a rarer all black 760 with sport package and V12 on the showroom floor . I also looked at their used Z8 and brand new M roadster and coupe
Spend some time with my sales advisor-who just got promoted to sales manager - he showed new sales materials for the e90 coupe - says its flying with lots of advance orders. He asked what's my next ride and I say 2008 M3 and he said, your #4 on the wait list and no need for deposit from you and no MSRP mark-up
Another tidbit I learned today, finally..... BMW Individual will be rolled out in November and the first orders will be taken for the 7 series for piloting and rolled out to the others right after.

The E92 coup? will be a hit!
I'll order the 335CiA.
I also know that a lot of Europeans have already ordered the coming V8 +400 hp E92 M3!
Launch next year.
Before that a brand new X5 will also be introduced early next year.
The facelifted E60 will be availble in fall '07 with a improved new V8 engine and the 3.0 litre twin-turbo etc...

Despite all the angst about oil supplies and fuel prices, I think we are in the midst of the greatest automotive era yet. Think about the capabilities of cars available today compared to 20 years ago ... or any era.
mihusky, don't you just love hearing that you are #4 on the list to get the new M3. I can't stop from grinnin' every time I drive my 550i, so imagine what the fun-factor is going to be on that machine. And how about an improved V8? With bi-turbos?
Is this a great era to be a car freak or what?

Well said tachyon and a good perspective. These are great days. Not only do I enjoy my product but the whole BMW experience since my e46 3er has been wonderful. I know not all forum members have been as lucky as me but even my dealership experiences have been great. Every time I go for service my service advisor shares the same passion about BMW: last time I saw his new M3 and we talk about his track races, this time we went to the showroom to see a relatively rare 760 sport pk and we chatted about the mechanics of the V12 engine. In fact after talking 760 we talked about the precision of the twin-turbo engines on the upcoming 335. I learned from him that they even de-tuned the 335 becasue the original HP rating would have encroached on M3 territory That's personal attention and its clear to me that many BMW employees love their cars and the brand as much as we do. Also, my dealership is very mod friendly and believes the BMW is for enthusiasts - contrast that with some bozo dealerships that did not know you could put 166 wheels on a non-M e60 In fact my SA used my car to cross-sell a dinan exhaust to another e60 owner... may be I should get a commission
