The armrest you describe is the one you get with the fold-down rear seats. If you don't have the fold-down seats, the armrest is different.

Thanks for the pictures, I have the armrest as in the upper picture, so I must have the (optional?) fold-down rear seats? Didn't knew that and haven't ordered. Will check later today :-)
About the armrest; There's leather on the armrest outside, but at the inside only 70% of the armrest is covered with leather, and thus my question was: Why? Should be prettier with 100% leather surface, no?
to BMW ///M 525xi: nope, no damage here, if my house is flooded, than 95% of the flanders is flooded
but haven't left my house today yet, so I haven't seen the water damage in the neighbourhood ...

The part around the 'lock', between the cupholders and the 'storage' area is not covered with leather, is it?

Sorry, now I see what you mean. Yeah, I guess both versions have plastic just below the cupholders -- it's just harder to notice on Lomag's picture since the plastic is the same color as the leather...
