You should also be willing to look outside of Texas. If your best deal is in California, then it would be worth the trip to California. There was a member here recently from Texas?, I think that went to the Bay Area to pickup his e60 b/c it was the best deal anywhere financially.

I am in AZ, but trying to avoid the sales tax by buying out state ... I don't mind shipping the car to AZ so any dealer in the US will work. The problem is I can't find the car anywhere with the options and trim I want.

Would love to search the US invertory, but haven't found anyway to do this.

Also what are guys opinion on these -
For Wheels I have already ordered Vellano 3 piece VSH 20in in Chrome.
Should I have ordered brushed or chrome? I have been second guessing this decision ever since I order them

For the body kit it looks like everyone has the M Aero Kit from BMW ? on the BMW site the price is 1699.00 . . . How much to paint and install? And how long does it take?

If you are leasing, it's better to go ahead and roll the M-Tech into your purchase price. There have been some threads here in the past regarding how much the M-tech kit cost rolling it into the lease. If you are buying, then get the M-tech after taking delivery of the car. M-tech can be had for $1300 and paint and install can range anywhere from $1000 - $1700. HTH.

Thanks for the info, where can I purchase it for $1300? Should I have the local dealer install it? I will be buying the car.

You can order the M-Tech Aero kit from Crevier BMW in Santa Ana, CA for $1280. Their wholesale parts department contact is Kevin Martin (kmartin@crevierbmw.com). I think they charge about $200 for shipping. You can also try Garry Romani (gromani@bmwofnewport.com). A local contact that might match would be Chapman BMW of Scottsdale. Get a quote from Crevier or Newport BMW and see if Chapman will match. The local dealer will charge you between $1700 - $2000 for paint and installation. What I suggest you do is find a high-end body shop around where you live. They'll probably charge you a lot less. Good luck.

Will the dealer have a better chance of matching the color?

No. Some delaerships outsource their body shop work. I know that Mercedes and BMW of San Diego outsources all their body work.

For the best quality color matching take it to a high-end body shop. The body shop where I had mine painted and installed specialized in Porsches but they also did work on BMWs, Mercedes, Lambos, Ford GT, Bentleys, Land Rovers, and Ferraris.
