The vessel is "Capricornus Leader". The estimated transit time for this voyage (M6J 004 OX) to Port Hueneme is 25 days making the estimated arrival 01/10/05.

This PCC (Pure Car Carrier, a very specific purpose built Roll On - Roll Off or RoRo vessel) was built this year (2004) and has a nominal vehicle capacity of 6,500 cars. For more information and a picture check out...

The "Capricornus Leader" was in Barcelona, Spain just a week ago. It made it's first call at Bremerhaven back at the end of September, 2004. The ship has yet to submit a weather report as part of the Voluntary Observing Ship (VOS) program through which sites like "sailx" get their data.

Yep, ///M Rakete.
BMWNA does not use WW for Weat coast shipment in these days. I talked to NA rep today, and found that mine was shipped on 12/16 as well. Looks like mine is next to yours on RoRo by NYK.? ? BTW, I could not find the vessel, RoRo anywhere. Do you have any idea of the ship name?
NYK does not have any real time tracking, so let's check at Sailwx.info. If you would find further info, pls keep us updated.?

This a GREAT thread for anyone waiting for a car! Thanks guys!

So I've been able to find out our car has be loaded onto the Tristan in Bremerhaven. Not sure if it's sailed yet and I wasn't able to find an arrival date. Still, pretty excited just the same!

Once your car is at VPC how can you tell how long it's gonna be there besides checking with your dealer?

It depends on the condition of the car. If there is no damage and has priority #1 (customer order), it takes about 2-3 days at VPC. If the car got damaged, they need to fix it, meaning longer stay. In case of Europian Delivery case, some member had to wait for more than 10 days due to the lower priority in the line.
We should count on 2-3 days at custom and AG inspections as well.

Thanks Iceman,
Unfortunately, we cannot track the vessel by sailwx system, though.
