My car is at VPC/NJ!!!!!!
I'm really juiced with news that my car made it to the VPC in NJ/NY on 23 July. Here was the timing so far:
30 June- Dropped at TTCar Nice, France
1 July- processed in Antwerp, Belgium
9 July- Arrived Zeebruge, Belgium
13 July- Loaded onto Medea
14 July- Stopped in Southampton England (for fish and chips)
22 July- Off-loaded in NJ (after passing by the statue of liberty like all good imports)
Now it's gotta get a bumper scrape fixed since we put that on in Paris which I assume will take place at the VPC. But my CA says that he's got the 29th July as the date it is set to leave there for his dealership. That puts it in range for pick up in the first week of August!
It would be about 5 weeks total if that is the case for ED drop to re-delivery.

[/quote]Absolutley beautiful!!!! It looks great!
Thanks for the comments on the color. I was originally a little concerned about the color because I hadn't seen any cars with that color, only the color sample. But it was one of the only color exteriors that was offered with the auburn/charcoal leather 2-tone interior which was my starting point. For the US, only black, white, and blue and green was offered for the exterior, so Olivin was the best of the lot.
It is more grayish metallic in real life, which helped me feel good about it. And I also like that it isn't one of many on the streets.
It would be cool though to replace some of the wood trim with the "Individual" color woods, but from another thread, it sounds unavailable. (maybe it's an aftermarket sales opp????)

My 545i is still at the VPC since July 17th, it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow to the dealer in NJ.
I had a call today saying that the car is supposed to be at his dealership on August 4 th, 9 days from now.... I am so pissed off.
Is there any reasons why car have to stay 2 weeks at the VPC?
