I'd try my absolute best to clean up the bumper with rubbing compound, but if that doesn't work and it's still very noticeable you might be screwed...

I hate that this happened to you dude. But do the right thing, the car was in your posession and was damaged so you really need to address it. If the dealer had an issue and your bumper was damaged you would want them to take care of it properly right?

There is actually no contract or form of any kind for me to sign. Its just a copy of my driver license and credit card. They told me their printer is broken and no contract for me to sign. I will pay for the damage if I can not find something to cure it. I will post some picture of the damage tomorrow and see if anyone can help me with it. Thanks for all the help so far.

Can you post a pic of the damage?
One of the reasons I do a quick walkaround when getting the loaner just b/c i'd hate for something to be pinned on me if it really shouldn't. Blah...hindsight. At any rate...GL!

Tell the Service Advisor what happened and also see if the parking lot has surveillance cameras.
Beyond teling the SA and finding out if there is surveillance there isn?t much you can do.

Technically, even though at no up front cost, a BMW loaner is a rental. If they ask you to file a claim with your insurance company your credit card rental car coverage may cover the deductible.

Hi, I brought my 530xi in for service and got a white 335xi as loaner car. The back bumper of the car was damage by some1 when I parked it in the parking lot and left for dinner . The damage was not very obvious but it pretty bad when look closed up. What should I do about it? Thanks for any helps.
Who cares? It's a loaner, they are menat for you to do things you would NEVER do in your own car.
P.S. NEVER buy an ex-loaner

Well, if you are fairly certain it happened while in your possession, I think you should tell your service advisor what happened and give your insurance company a call. It sucks, but I'm afraid its on you. If you dont, and somehow it slides past them, its likely the next guy might catch the shaft and get charged for it, would would be a pretty raw deal.
Anytime I get a rental or a loaner I always check to see if anything is scratched or damaged and make sure it is known to the rental company before I take off.

It's sometimes hard to be ethical, that is why it is so admired in those who are ethical! You need to just face the music and tell BMW what happened! I would also check for the videotape footage from the parking lot too! Good Luck, and let us know how it all turns out!
