only use bmw stuff or it will F* up the transmission.
you should be able to get it from your local dealer parts shop

Hey guys, I talked to my SA today about changing transmission fluid when my car reaches 50K miles (I will pay for it). He said "we don't even do that service here!" and he also said it might cause problem instead of helping it.

Now I'm really confused

What a load of crap.
I think itis best to do it outside but find a shop that knows how to fix BMW cars
even BMWHK don't change the transmission fluid too :thumbsdown:

Thanks for replying but now it really bugs me. Why wouldn't the dealers do it? Do they know something we don't?

my dealership just changed my tranny fluid. i still have 2nd gear grinds in early morning tho!!!

More questions. how many qts of ATF does my transmission take? Also, it looks like the filter is part of the oil pan, does it have to be changed or should I just change the oil?
