Thanks for the quick reply. I presume the SOS button uses the same system?

Well, it's definitely one of the worst BMW dealership in SF Bay Area. Thanks for reminding me that I have many choices here.

I bought my 530i from this dealer simply because I could not resist this car after I testdrove it, and the dealer in my residence city (which I bought my ES300 and MDX from that dealer group) did not have the options I wanted. BTW, my deal was a real bargain since it was made on Mar 31, the quarter end.

It's good to hear that dlan's problem has been solved. Now I am really curious if dlan's 530i has NAV + CPT9000 working under which netwrok career. I had my company ordered a V60s under Verizon for me. It will be great if I could install eject box to enable my car phone.

khl,

I am using my 18 months old Verizon V60i with my 530... dealer just installed the eject box and reprogrammed the TCU.

Sometimes I have to insert the phone several times before it sync with I-Drive, its annoying but it works after a few attempts.

I do not have NAV, just Premium & Winter Pkg

BMW Assist is on all the cars, with or without the phone, with or without nav, etc.

There is actually an entirely independent phone installed in the car just for BMW Assist.? Even if you don't plan on paying for assist, you get the first year free so you should either already have it or your dealer should be able to activate it.
It appears that Rudy's car is one of the few with NAV and V60 phones working (or partially working) together. Would anyone be able to guide me more successful stories (working V60i, V60s,... with NAV) on this or other forums?

BTW, which dealer in SF Bay Area could have possibly done this work (installed eject box, reprogrammed the TCU and made the phone work!) before? What's the ballpark of its cost beyond the parts? I don't have much confidence on my current dealer.

Thanks for your info.
