This was made public recently and that is why they are fixing it for free. If he truly were doing you an act of good faith, he would never have quoted you the $120.00 diagnostic fee. My SA told me mine was not covered by the recall and then 2 months later I got a card from bmw na telling me it was...so
the SA's may not totally have all the correct info. Congrats though on saving the money. I know how important it is to have a good relationship with dealer. I drive 15 miles furher than my nearest dealer bc of the treatment i get from the dealership furthest away from me. PS...Love that 545 !!!!

Sounds like just needed the right software update. Not something they had to do so still nice they offered. Probably had to wait for parts to fix the vibration and plugged in the car overnight to update software.
