Well thanks to this great forum, I found the collision center in Schaumburg IL. Very professional, and thorough. 8 to 10 days for the total job. Roughly $2500 in damage. The way he described the way they fix the car was very impressive. I will only take my car here. I'm just waiting to here from the woman's insurance claim adjuster. Also, both doorhandles, the mirror and the rear rim were all damaged as well. Can't wait to get this fixed, I hate riding in a damaged car. I'll keep you all posted. I'll post better pics later (I didnt want the damage to be so obvious so i'm keeping the car dirty).

From what I could tell from the pictures you posted most of the body work would not involve body filler/bondo. It looked like they would push most of the dents out a' la dentless dent remover. I'm interested to hear what they told you ...... Thanks and good luck.

Cheers

The body shop to use is Body Shop of Barrington, absolutely the best BMW approved body shop in the Chicago area. Great work and competitive prices. I have used them 4 times. this is the body shop that Motor Werks uses.

Thanks, The pictures I took didn't really show the damage that well, but she gouged me pretty good, broke the paint down to the metal in some areas. I will post some better pics later. I can get it done cheaper, but i want it done exactly right. Also her insurance is picking up the tab so $2500 it is . Here is a copy of the damage estimate. Hope you can see it and this explains it better. The extra $ comes from the mirror damage that the estimator missed.
