Question

Hello,

I got my front brakes replaced approx 2500 KM before the service interval indication (general car service, no BMW dealer). I wanted to reset the service interval indicator for the front brakes. I did so (found the instruction here on the forum). But the indicator jumped to -15.000 KM and now a red service indicator appears urging me to replace the front brakes. Also the parking/hand break indicator is on while driving. I tried several times to reset. But after the reset question it keeps jumping to -15.000 km.

Anyone got the hint to get rid of these messages?
If the only way is through the computer: The guy at the general car service has computer acces to the car, thus being able to reset indicators. He just can't find the indicator to reset for this message.

Thanx,
Greets,
Najrad

Did you replace the wear sensor when you put in new pads?

Hi Rizbel,

I don't think so. Where is it located?
