I will be picking up my 550 Sport in Munich on September 4, 2007. I will be leasing my car again. Since I am a past customer of BMWFS I can lock in my rate now at .0025 -.0007 = .0018 plus the .0003 bump for ED or I can wait. Is the normal buy rate likely to drop beneath .oo18 at the end of August?

Now.
It is a very favorable rate.
And if a better rate comes along before you sign the lease, you can take advantage of it.
I believe you can lock rates in for 90 days so do this at the end of the month.

I was just told that BMWFS is not offering this special rate for the 550 model. The rate only applies to 528, 535, 750 models.

Incorrect. I have available to me resources that say the .0018 rate apply to all e60 models except for the M5. Where did you get this information from the dealer who you are purchasing your car? Look here as well for more insight. Of course, this is only for EXISTING BMWFS customers and will expire within two weeks.

My dealer is located in the Western Region (S. California) so perhaps this is the problem. My CA claims that she has contacted BMWFS, and they have confirmed that this program does not include the 550. (and yes, I am a returning BMWFS customer, and I currently have a lease with them)
Thanks for the info.

It would appear that other CAs have set you straight on bimmerfest.com. The CA I know in the Bay Area has confirmed with me that the .0018 MF applies to all e60s. Rudy's CA in Pittsburgh has confirmed it as well with him It would appear that your CA is pulling the wool over your eyes. The higher the MF you pay the more money your dealer reaps from you. I say it's time to move on to another dealership. There are like 10, if not more, BMW dealerships in LA/OC.

The sales manager at one of the dealers that I am negotiating with, said that the 550 did not get the special owner loyalty rate of .0018. I insisted that he call BMW FS. Sure enough the 550 does in fact get the .0018 rate. This board is a great source of information, far better than many dealers.
