I have heard it is possible. You just cannot get the max 7 MSD. Try different dealerships and see who's willing.

Correct. It won't drop the monthly payment by $355.
Money factor as of January 2007 for 2007 M5 is .0032 * 24 = 7.68% APR. (.0032) is the base rate that dealers can markup if they wish and they usually do.
Max 7 MSD: (.0032 - .00049 = .00271) * 24 = 6.5% APR
In addition to saving about $40 - $70 per month, the MSD would be the monthly payment times 7. So, if your monthly payment is $1300/month. $1300 * 7 = $9100 due at signing along with the acquisition fee, tax and license and first month's payment.

I understand the math, but does this make sense? In the above example, you leave a $9100 dollar deposit to save 1.18% APR. If you put the $9100 in a cd for 2 - 3 years, your return would be higher than your savings.

My Ride: 2004 545i / Orient Blue (I think) / Tan int / 116's Wheels / ... my favorite option, the HEATED steering wheel!
Previous cars retired:
2006 Corvette Z51, 2002 Corvette Coupe, 2002 Mustang, 1997 Maxima, 1994 Camry, 1990 Supra
None, and I mean none compare to this 545i. The 06 Corvette was faster, but not by much...
Dude, an M for less than 400 bucks a month? Whats the mileage, a thou a year???
